4th Edition of the MUTEK_IMG Festival
At the start of spring, here are three beautiful days not to miss. Incollaboration with the Goethe-Institut, Centre Phi welcomes the fourth edition of MUTEK_IMG from April 11 to 13, 2018. Conferences, workshops and performances will reveal major research directions and questions related to the evolution of the digital sphere. Culture Montréal’s digital commission will notably create dialogue among active members of this ecosystem, which positions our metropolis as a capital in this field. German and Canadian scenes will meet in a series of workshops, the first parttaking place April 11 before continuing in Berlin in May. During the forum, a jury will examine the approaches of six semifinalists who will have the chance to present their prototypes at the next MAPP_MTL edition in October. The public will also test mapping projections at Saint-Laurent station on Wednesday, April 11 and Thursday, April 12 at 8 p.m. The competition was launched by the Quartier des spectacles Partnership with MUTEK and MAPP_MTL. TheMUTEK_IMG calendar also includes networking moments and essential sessions presented as three case studies by Xn Québec. Producers of immersive and experiential creations will share their inspirations and production challenges. Theforum will close with a cocktail hosted by Composite, an initiative of the Conseil des arts, revealing seven inspiring projects led by digital professionals, artists and entrepreneurs.
