Coming Soon to Our Screens
The event Coming Soon to Our Screens reminds us that the days when children were punished simply by being forbidden to watch television are over. Today one would have to add no computer, no tablet, no cellphone, no digital music player and no smart watch. Screens have invaded everyday life. Rather than treating screens only as a problem, the event opens a discussion on how they shape children’s and families’ lives. Screens are tools for entertainment, learning,

communication, but they also raise questions about attention, limits, health and relationships. Coming Soon to Our Screens invites participants to think about the place of digital objects in the home and in education. The goal is not to demonize technology, but to better understand how it is used and how adults can support young people in a world where images and devices are omnipresent. As part of Printemps numérique, the event expands the conversation beyond artistic creation. It connects digital culture with daily practices and reminds us that creativity, responsibility
and critical thinking must go hand in hand when screens become part ofevery moment of life.
