Who said digital creativity was niche? Throughout last Thursday evening, 2,000 visitors gathered atthe McCord Museum for the launchof the fourth edition of Printemps numériqueunder the theme Montréal Fashion Tech. Mehdi Benboubakeur, in charge of the organization, described the kickoff as incredible and said the program’s popularity shows that the meeting of digital technology with different industries interests thegeneral public and isincreasingly part of a desire for democratization. Until midnight,the museum becamea high-tech creative laboratory. DJs ROUX Soundsystem and AndFriends created the festive atmosphere. Visitors drew virtual dresses with Imagine 360°, usedBanque Nationale’s photo booth, tested Stefanka’s smart fitting room and felt music pulses with the SUBPAC vest.
